Our philosophy at Radiant Pilates and Physio is a simple one. Have fun, Be present and open to learn new things and keep turning up. Whether ‘turning up’ is physically to our studio for a class or it is carving out that 15 mins a day at home to do your personal program. It all matters.
Two of our favourite quotes, from Joseph Pilates.
“Change happens through movement and movement heals”
“Contrology - or what we now know as Pilates - is designed to give you suppleness, natural grace, and skill that will be unmistakably reflected in the way you walk, in the way you play, and in the way you work”

Connect Therapy TM Series Graduate 2019 incl part 4 in 2024
After being in the private practice physio world since 1998, I drifted towards pilates after having our first child in early 2000’s. Both for my own body and then as a way to return into the workforce as a fast paced sports clinic was no longer my passion. I established Radiant Pilates and Physiotherapy in 2013 after finishing my Pilates diploma and wanting to build a small practice to combine my hands on physiotherapy skills with my pilates experience, in an effort to fill the gap that I was finding in traditional physiotherapy treatments. It also filled my need to be at home with my then 3 young children.
Fast forward 13 years and the practice has moved to Capel - grown into a large studio space with many classes running weekly and my family have all grown up and are forging their own lives.
My story is now returning to my roots with the clinic downsizing and moving to follow my passion into Connect Therapy and away from the small group classes.
This is an exciting chapter for the end of 2026 and looks to be off to a great start.
If you are still reading and interested here is the long version…
I have been a physiotherapist for over 30 years , graduating in 1993, and have worked in the area of private practice for more than 25 years, specialising in the area of Musculoskeletal Studies after completing a Master’s degree at UWA in 2001.
Early into my career, I developed a keen interest in understanding the biomechanics of lower back and pelvic girdle pain and its influence on the rest of the body. This focus on rehabilitation was strengthened with finishing an 24 month long Pilates course with Polestar Pilates Education and gaining my Certification.
Radiant Pilates was established in 2013 to provide a unique rehabilitation environment for clients. Learning how to move correctly is a key step in regaining pain free movement. Understanding the 'why' of your exercises is a vital step in this process. As science and the Pilates world merge, we are learning how to breakdown movement patterns, re-teach certain components then piece the whole pattern back together.
I wanted and still want, Radiant Pilates to be uniquely situated to be able to take a client from the physiotherapy rehabilitation stage into Rehabilitation movement phase and then into a Fitness class setting. I remain passionate about empowering people to learn how to treat their own pain and move beyond the traditional approach of being reliant on someone to ‘fix you’.
As part of a commitment to excellence plus a thirst for understanding, in 2018 I started my ConnectTherapy (TM) journey with the world renowned Dr Linda-Joy Lee and completed the 3 part ConnectTherapy Series in Sydneyby end 2019. I have attended many short courses and then upskilling with virtual content over 2020-2023. I have attending the first ConnectPilates course in March 2024 and finished Part 4 in Nov 2024. I recently attended an second ConnectTherapy and the throax short course in Nov 2025.
