Sarah and Dana are both busy working mums and understand how important finding time in your schedule for yourself and exercise is.

Our philosophy at Radiant Pilates and Physio is a simple one. Have fun, Be present and open to learn new things and keep turning up. Whether ‘turning up’ is physically to our studio for a class or it is carving out that 15mins a day at home to do your personal program. It all matters.

Two of our favourite quotes, from Joseph Pilates.

“Change happens through movement and movement heals”

“Contrology - or what we now know as Pilates - is designed to give you suppleness, natural grace, and skill that will be unmistakably reflected in the way you walk, in the way you play, and in the way you work”

Sarah Garbellini
BSc (Physiotherapy) Masters Musculoskeletal Studies (Manual Therapy)
Certified Polestar Pilates Rehabilitation Practitioner

Principal physiotherapist, Sarah Garbellini, has been a physiotherapist for over 25 years and has worked in the area of private practice for more than 20 years, specialising in the area of Musculoskeletal Studies after completing a Master’s degree at UWA in 2001. Over the last 10 years Sarah has developed a keen interest in understanding the biomechanics of lower back and pelvic girdle pain and its influence on the rest of the body. Her focus on rehabilitation has been strengthened with finishing an 24 month long Pilates course with Polestar Pilates Education and gaining her Certification.

Radiant Pilates was established in 2013 to provide a unique rehabilitation environment for her clients.  Learning how to move correctly is a key step in regaining pain free movement. Understanding the 'why' of your exercises is a vital step in this process.  As science and the Pilates world merge, we are learning how to breakdown movement patterns, re-teach certain components then piece the whole pattern back together. Radiant Pilates is uniquely situated to be able to take a client from the physiotherapy rehabilitation stage into Rehabilitation movement phase and then into a Fitness class setting. Sarah is passionate about empowering people to learn how to treat their own pain and move beyond the traditional approach of being reliant on someone to ‘fix you’.

Recently Sarah moved to Capel in Western Australia's South West to balance work and family life and has re-opened in a larger clinic to provide clients a place to restore and rejuvenate in a friendly environment.

As part of a commitment to excellence plus a thirst for understanding, in 2018 Sarah started her ConnectTherapy TM journey with the world renowed Dr Linda-Joy Lee and has is currently completing her 4 part ConnectTherapy Series in Sydney.

Dana Hedley
Certificate IV Matwork Instruction/Certificate IV in Reformer Instruction
Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology
Certificate in Foundation Boxilates / Certificate in Intermediate Boxiliates

Dana was introduced to Pilates by her Osteopath in an attempt to help many years of mal-alignment and back issues.  Not only did she find relief, she found she was hooked!  After many years of practicing Pilates, her passion for the method led her to apply to the Pilates Training Institute in Perth.  Here she became a qualified PilatesITC government recognised, nationally accredited Pilates Instructor.

Dana possesses a creative mind, which shows in her wild explanations of things and her witty teaching style.  She is also very curious and loves to ask why?!  This craving to know more means she is committed to continuing education which is a valuable asset in any instructor.

Dana loves what she does!  She holds the belief that we should move, as Joseph Pilates said, “Change happens through movement and movement heals” .
